American Natural Premium was founded in 1998 by Jennifer Burlo and Gene Large. Both animal lovers, they already owned and operated Riverview kennel on the beautiful Milwaukee River in rural Wisconsin. They were disappointed with the existing selection of pet foods as the foods seemed to be either overpriced or filled with inexpensive, unnatural products.
So, they took it upon themselves to improve the lives of pets – both their own and those of their customers – by creating a delicious, natural, and high-quality pet food using three core principles: American made, uses real natural ingredients, and provides premium-quality nutrition.
